EC 2020

Invitation to 69th European FEMA Championship for Speed Model Cars
Witterswil, Switzerland 24th to 26th July 2020.

The FEMA has kindly asked the Swiss Model Car Club SMCC to organize the 69th European Championship
2020 on the track in Witterswil, Switzerland. We are warmly welcoming all racers from whole Europe to this event.

Location
Witterswil (Solothurn) is approximately 9 km southwest of Basel City. All international and domestic
flights to Basel (arrive at Basel Mulhouse Airport), or Zurich ( Airport Zurich Kloten). For train connection please use the following link: www.sbb.ch

Registration for the race
All 6 FEMA classes will be run. All competitors should be registered by 12th June 2020 according
the FEMA rulebook – 6 weeks beforehand. We accept only the official FEMA entry forms. The official entry forms must be sent by email to: Mr. Peter Arlautzki arlspeed@hispeed.ch.
In few weeks you’ll have the possible to make a pre-registration on your own. This link will take
place at speedmodelcar.com.
The registration fee of 25€ per model will be collected at the track during registration.

Food and Drinks
A lunch will be provided during the official training and race days. Our canteen will also be open
during the race weekend and serves snacks, beverages, coffee and other refreshments.

Race starting order
The starting list for the 1st heat will be from top to bottom. The first 3 of the European Championship
2019 will start first in the 1st heat. The other participants will follow in ranked order. For the unranked participants, the starting positions will be decided by the organizers (after the 20th position).
The 2nd heat will be from bottom to top
The final heat will be from slowest to fastest speed. The defending European Champion of each
class will however start at last.

Awarding for the Championship
The first 3 of each class will be receive FEMA European Champions medals.
The first 5 will receive a trophy.
The first 3 nations will be awarded with trophies.
The Europacup for Teams will be awarded.

Technical Rules
All cars will be check by the FEMA Technical Rules before Training Heat. All safety rules from
Track well based on the FEMA Sporting Code.

Practice
Practice will be able only from 22nd and 23rd July 2020 before the championships. All class will
be run in order of capacity. See also timetable from program schedule.
